After the first anthological exhibition, set up in 2010 and dedicated to his paintings, Schio honours Alfredo Ortelli once again, with an exhibition centred on the important graphic work of the Schio painter.

The exhibition is born out of the partnership between the Municipality of Schio, the association CaféCinque, Anna Maria Checchia, Enrico dal Soglio and Pubblio dal Soglio.

The public is presented with a selection of about one hundred pieces that made Ortelli one of the more important graphic artists of the Twenties. The exhibit focuses on the artist’s time in Turin, with graphic commissions in various fields, including cinema, advertisement, children’s books illustration, up to the important review of original covers, about 80, drawn for the weekly publication “L’Illustrazione del Popolo”.

Preparatory material is also included – notebooks, sketches and printing matrices – that illustrate the conceptual and technical journey of this artist, as well as his artisan process.
